Privacy Policy
We built InchMatch to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, and the site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or tracking scripts.
Who is responsible
Kazuki Unzei operates InchMatch and is the person responsible for the protection of personal information. Contact: hello@inchmatch.com.
What we record
- Searches. The dimensions, unit, category and country of each search and how many results it produced. These are stored without your IP address or any identifier, so we cannot link a search to a person.
- Clicks to retailers. When a link to a retailer is followed we count which offer and retailer it was, the country section, and the time — again with no identifier.
We use these counts to see which sizes and categories people need and to improve the product data.
What our hosting provider processes
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We have turned off request logging for the site, and we do not record IP addresses in our database. Cloudflare's security tools may show us the IP address of a request they block or challenge; we do not combine that with search records.
When you leave for a retailer
Retailers and affiliate networks may use cookies or similar technology on their own sites to record that your visit came from InchMatch. That happens on their sites under their privacy policies, not ours.
What we do not do
We do not sell or share personal information, build profiles, or send marketing email. The site is not directed to children under 13.
Email you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the conversation on request. Our address forwards through Cloudflare to a Google (Gmail) mailbox, so those two providers handle the message on our behalf.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under PIPEDA and provincial laws in Canada, or state privacy laws in the United States), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Because we do not keep identifiable records of visitors, in most cases we will have nothing to provide — but you can always ask: hello@inchmatch.com.
Where data is stored
Records are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which may be located in Canada, the United States or other countries.
Changes
If we add a feature that collects more information, we will update this policy before it goes live.
